When you are in the mood for the freshest home-baked breads, cakes, cookies and pastries, stop in to the Magnolia Bakery in the heart of the West Village.
Magnolia first opened in 1996, and since then has developed a reputation for producing the best, old-fashioned baked treats. Located at 401 Bleecker Street on the corner of West 11th Street, Magnolia Bakery is a family owned enterprise which prides itself on baking everything on the premises, from scratch, with the best ingredients, the way grandma used to make it.
Magnolia is not just about eating either. The Bakery will donate 50 cents for every Pink Ribbon Cupcake that is purchased during October to the Breast Cancer
Research Foundation.
In 2007 ownership of Magnolia changed hands when Steve Abrams, an experienced restaurateur, took over the shop, and along with his wife and daughter, began to grow the business. Now Magnolia Bakery is composed of seven branches, four in New York, one in Los Angeles, one in Dubai, and a new branch in Chicago.
